Aim & objectives:

India is a country with rich tradition and heritage. But with changing times the joint family system has given way to nuclear family system. Values are changing and the new generation has started aping culture forgetting their deep rooted traditions. Thus the need of the hour is to imbibe moral and social values in our children, so that they do not become victims of broken homes and insecure lives. So, a visit to an old age home was felt necessary.

58 students of Primary Section (classes III, IV and V) of K.V.Khanapara were taken to “AMAR GHAR” an old age home situated at V.I.P road in Guwahati on 11th August 2009. They were accompanied by three teachers of the school. The students were taken there to interact with the inmates.
